The Control Tower Executive is responsible for monitoring vehicle movements, coordinating with drivers and vendors, managing Proof of Delivery (POD) processes, tracking shipments, and ensuring smooth transportation operations.
Key Responsibilities
Real-Time Vehicle Monitoring
- Monitor shipment movement through tracking systems and GPS tools.
- Track vehicle status and delivery timelines.
- Contact drivers/vendors for delayed deliveries.
- Update stakeholders regarding delays and revised ETAs.
- Make a minimum of 50 calls per shift.
POD & E-Bill Management
- Verify and clear unclean PODs.
- Follow up with drivers/vendors for pending POD uploads.
- Resolve POD-related discrepancies.
- Coordinate vendor billing and documentation processes.
Vehicle Placement Coordination
- Ensure vehicles are placed on time.
- Coordinate with project teams and transport vendors.
- Verify movement with printed LR copies.
Communication & Coordination
- Maintain regular communication with:
- Drivers
- Carriers
- Warehouse teams
- Internal stakeholders
- Share shipment updates and transportation plans.
- Escalate issues proactively.
Issue Resolution
- Identify tracking and transportation discrepancies.
- Coordinate with concerned teams for quick resolution.
- Ensure minimal operational disruptions.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain shipment records and tracking information.
- Generate operational reports.
- Provide recommendations for process improvement.
Customer Support
- Handle stakeholder inquiries related to:
- Trip Management
- Vehicle Tracking
- POD Status
- E-Bill Processing
- Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication.
