Role Overview
PepsiCo is seeking an Application SRE AI Solutions Engineer to design and implement resilient AI-powered platforms for enterprise applications. The role focuses on integrating Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles with Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Large Language Models (LLMs), and cloud-native architectures to improve application reliability, observability, automation, and operational excellence.
The engineer will collaborate with AI architects, data scientists, software engineers, and enterprise architecture teams to build scalable, secure, and highly available AI solutions across PepsiCo’s global digital ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Design architectural patterns for Machine Learning models, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and Computer Vision applications.
- Define AI observability standards including model monitoring, explainability, drift detection, and performance tracking.
- Collaborate with Data & AI Architecture teams to align AI solutions with enterprise standards.
- Build scalable, reliable, and secure AI applications across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Drive proactive incident prevention using Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
- Develop automation workflows for AI-powered operations (AIOps) and self-healing systems.
- Define enterprise logging, monitoring, alerting, and observability standards.
- Improve application availability, reliability, and production performance.
- Support AI-driven optimization of production support and operational processes.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend enterprise-grade solutions.
- Partner with engineering, operations, and product teams to implement cloud-native architectures.
- Contribute to enterprise AI governance, compliance, and responsible AI initiatives.
