Job Responsibilities
- Process payroll for employees in US and Canada.
- Perform complete payroll processing and due diligence activities.
- Coordinate with HR teams to resolve employee payroll queries.
- Support payroll activities related to 401(k) retirement plans.
- Analyze payroll processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Identify payroll risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Review existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with payroll schedules and non-payroll calendar activities.
- Maintain payroll accuracy while adhering to statutory and organizational requirements.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong knowledge of US and Canadian Payroll.
- Off-cycle payroll processing.
- Garnishments.
- Federal and Provincial Tax regulations.
- SIN (Social Insurance Number) and SSN (Social Security Number) processing.
- CPP/QPP calculations.
- EI/QPIP calculations.
- Pension administration.
- Pre-Tax and Post-Tax deductions.
