Role Overview
The role focuses on validating high-performance home gateway routers and networking devices. You will be responsible for testing Layer 2/3 forwarding protocols, building automation frameworks, and ensuring robust functionality across WAN/LAN interfaces. The position involves close collaboration with software teams to validate customer-specific networking use cases and deliver high-quality networking solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Validate Layer 2/3 forwarding protocols to ensure end-to-end service behavior

Perform functional, performance, stability, and interoperability testing

Develop and maintain automation scripts for regression, feature, and performance testing

Work with automation frameworks such as Robot Framework, Python, and PyTest
-
Create and execute test strategies and detailed test plans
-
Test routing and switching functionalities across multiple deployment scenarios
-
Collaborate with software teams for customer-specific network use-case validation
-
Debug issues and provide detailed defect reports with logs, traces, and reproduction steps

Use network analysis tools like Wireshark, iPerf, and packet capture tools

Support product lifecycle testing aligned with telecom standards
Required Qualifications & Skills

Graduate or Master’s degree in Engineering

10–15 years of experience in testing high-performance switching and routing software

Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies:

TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, VPN, Multicast, IPv6

GPON / XGSPON
-
TR-069 and Remote Management Protocols

Hands-on experience testing routers, gateways, or access points (APs)

Strong automation scripting skills (Python preferred)

Experience with Linux/Unix systems for debugging and log analysis
