Job Description/Skills Required
- Working exposure to manufacturing processes of various engineering commodities (Castings, Forgings, Sheet metal, Machined items, Plastic, Rubber, assemblies, etc.)
- Hands on exposure to new product development with supplier end. Technical support to vendor for process mapping, machine selection
- Cost calculations for reference/target cost and negotiations for new component
- Understanding of cost and drivers and independent cost calculations with minimal support Knowledge about different machines, machines hourly rate, overheads etc.
- Supplier quote analysis and providing comprehensive report / negotiation dossier to Commodity team for Price negotiation discussion with Supplier
- Should Cost Analysis and RFQ Management, Price negotiation.
- Hands on experience of cost mapping for engineering parts & assemblies.
- Should be able to define best suited manufacturing process, machine selection, cycle time calculations.
