Job Summary
The candidate will perform complete OTC tasks as directed by the supervisor. Strong communication skills in English are required. The position will be responsible for billing, collections, cash applications, UBR / AR reconciliations, analysis, presentation, reduction in DSO and effective communications.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Taking ownership of assigned portfolios including billing – UBR, collecting aged receivables and applying cash on time at the same time making sure that supervisors are informed in a timely manner to avoid any adverse impact on customer and business.
- Regular reviews of past due items and working towards the resolutions.
- If required, send statements and demand letters to the clients.
- Research and analyse disputes and/or deductions raised by the clients.
- Follow-up with inter departmental stakeholders to resolve the dispute or deductions.
- Discussions with Ops and Sales Team to resolve dispute or outstanding queries.
- Attending reviews i.e. weekly & bi-weekly with the manager and vertical head.
- Helping the supervisor for monthly, quarterly & yearly accounts receivable closing activity and need basis preparation of monthly journal entries & reconciliations.
- Working towards the reducing DSOs and Assist with ad hoc reporting.
- Participating in process transitions with the internal team, if required.
- Technical Requirements
- 2+ years of corporate experience in OTC, AR & Cash application profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent (MBA Finance/CA preferred)
- Excellent customer service, proactive, and strong work ethic
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of management and cross functional organizations
- Solid organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to contribute to continuous process improvement.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office with intermediate knowledge of MS Excel, including formulas to enhance efficiency.
- Experience in Oracle, SAP VMS tools (Fieldglass, Ariba, etc.), Beeline are a plus
