🚢 Job Description – Marine Claims (Skill 1)

• Handle Marine claims management including Demurrage, Cargo, Import/Export, Port operations, Marine Insurance

• Review contract terms, documents, events, and prepare claim calculations

• Follow-up with 3rd parties and issue invoices for receivable claims

• Monitor aged claims, outstanding items, overdue invoices

• Work with customers & affiliates for claim-related queries

• Ensure submission of claims within contract timelines

• Identify process improvement opportunities & contract issues

• Maintain control reports and compliance

• Support operational deadlines & maintain data accuracy

🎓 Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (Maritime, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration preferred)

• 3–4 years of relevant marine/shipping/logistics experience

• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)

• Strong analytical and contract review skills

• Understanding of marine terminology & operations

• Knowledge of anti-trust and compliance guidelines

• Negotiation skills for dealing with counterparties

• Ability to handle claims, documentation & escalations
