Overview:
At Mastercard, the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function plays a critical role in managing all aspects of management reporting, including budgeting and forecasting, strategic planning, and customer planning. This Manager position is essential in managing and executing corporate reporting and planning requirements across a broad spectrum of strategic processes and initiatives.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Lead the financial close process by analyzing variances against budget, forecasts, and prior year actuals.
- Drive the development of the annual plan, budget, and forecast, ensuring accurate data upload into Hyperion.
- Manage and create standardized financial reporting packages to support the business, including identifying and communicating revenue risks and opportunities.
- Develop presentations for quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and quarterly operating reviews (QORs), and handle ad-hoc requests for information and analysis.
- Provide relevant financial analytics and business insights to key stakeholders, supporting Mastercard’s strategic plans.
- Execute financial process improvements, including building and maintaining financial tools for analysis and modeling.
- Investigate opportunities for automation and more efficient methods of creation and delivery.
- Lead special projects and guide and mentor the team.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant, CPA, or MBA in Finance.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in financial planning and management roles.
- Proficiency in Business Intelligence tools and financial systems/applications like Hyperion and Oracle.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
- Strong relationship management and networking skills.
