Job Description/Skills Required
- Develop and manage the project plan, timelines and budgets for the engagement
- Manage project team responsible for executing the test of design and test of operating effectiveness including setting expectations, providing direction and monitoring progress.
- Ensure quality output to the client and adherence to agreed timelines.
- Risk Assessment and scoping from a SOX coverage perspective
- Documentation of process narratives, risk and control matrices and process flow charts
- Analyze control deficiencies (test of design) and work with the management to develop remediation plans
- Operating effectiveness testing of controls (Test of operating effectiveness) – Develop and execute testing procedures to assess the operating effectiveness of key controls
- Prepare recommendations for remediation for operating inefficiencies
- Client coordination for day to day activities – process walkthroughs, data requests etc.
- Client senior stakeholder management – status updates, escalations etc.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understand of the company’s internal controls and compliance requirements and SOX regulations
- Stay updated with the emerging trends and developments in internal controls and compliance, PCAOB observations and guidelines on internal controls
- Support the client on responding on any queries from statutory auditors
- Ensure documentation is maintained in accordance with the applicable standards and guidelines
