Job Description
- Conduct research on transaction tax laws including domestic & international taxation
- Work on inbound/outbound deals, corporate restructuring, and securities market aspects
- Perform tax analysis and apply theoretical concepts to client scenarios
- Prepare reports, presentations, and client deliverables
- Carry out direct tax due diligence and document findings
Key Responsibilities
M&A Tax & Advisory
- Analyze tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations
- Work on regulations including corporate laws, SEBI, FEMA, Competition Act, and stamp duty laws
- Conduct tax diligence by reviewing compliance history and risks
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare detailed diligence reports and presentations (Word, Excel, PPT)
- Maintain internal documentation and working papers
Knowledge & Process Improvement
- Track regulatory updates and industry trends
- Assist in training and knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Improve processes and enhance team efficiency
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate internally across teams
- Support client engagements and ensure service quality
- Follow up on billing and collections
Skills Required
- Strong understanding of direct and international taxation
- Experience in M&A tax or transaction advisory
- Analytical and research skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in M&A Tax preferred
- Experience in transaction advisory / tax diligence is a plus
