Job description
- Controllership partners with all business units and staff groups across the Organization to ensure financial integrity, a strong control environment and enhance shareholder value by delivering financial accounting, reporting, compliance, planning, and advisory services.
- An exciting opportunity exists for highly motivated and quick-learning Financial Analyst to join a collaborative team where your growth/development will be supported.
- The Financial Analyst will be an integral part of the Controllership Finance team and is responsible for delivering sound practice in creating and maintaining financial tools, used for month-end, and forecast purposes.
- The successful candidate will need to understand the linkages between key financial and non-financial data and its impact on controllership, while implementing business requirements into the tool.
- The work prepared by the candidate feeds into and generates a few different internal and external reporting submissions.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Translate key business requirements and needs and reflect them in the financial tools
- Prepare and refresh financial statements and analytical tools on-time
- Create analytical supports using various means of coding, including MS Excel, MS Access, VBA, SQL, Power BI, Tableau etc
- Manage and coordinate automation tool roll-out
- Maintain and provide user support for the automated tools
- Prepare SOP for existing and new processes of managing tools and share the knowledge to colleagues
Qualifications:
- Strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be flexible, proactive and able to work autonomously and provide accurate updates to management as needed
- Experience working in a highly matrixed organization
- A good understanding of coding languages such as SQL, VBA, PowerQuery, python etc are essential
- Expertise in Robotics tools (like Blue Prism) and Report Mining tools (Datawatch Monarch)
- Good understanding of MS Power Platform (Power-Apps, Power-Automate, Power BI)
- Knowledge of Cloud platform (GCP) and BigQuery
- Familiarity with Project management tools (like Jira/Rally)
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to haves but not a must:
- Oracle/Essbase knowledge, an advantage
- Working knowledge of SharePoint Framework, Reuseable Components, Farm Solutions & Add-ins
- bachelors degree required in accounting, finance or related discipline, CPA/CA
