Job description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and bookkeeping tasks.
- Reconcile balance sheets and manage accounts payable/receivable.
- Handle monthly reconciliations for debtor and creditor accounts.
- Process financial information up to the trial balance stage and prepare financial statements.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts and reports.
- Record financial transactions by classifying them into assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses.
- Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain the general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
- Reconcile GST.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree (preferred) or equivalent
- Master of Commerce (M.Com), Master of Business Administration (MBA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Inter qualification (highly preferred)
- CA Inter qualification (a plus)
- 0-4 years of experience in accounting or Australian Accounting practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel is a must)
