Job Description/Skills Required
We are recruiting for an Associate 1 position in the Information Reporting and Withholding (IRW) team. Your responsibilities will include:
- — Undertake exhaustive tax research and triangulate information and data points from various secondary data sources
- — Ability to understand client’s needs and providing customized research outcomes
- — Research through Government websites of various jurisdictions and other secondary resources to capture updates related to FATCA/CRS
- — Closely monitor FATCA/CRS regulations and provide timely update to the client that keep them abreast of changes and developments
- — Capturing Internal Revenue Service (IRS) developments such as new regulations, notices, and rulings, as well as changes to forms and filing requirements
- — Capturing updates for state IRW information related to financial products, securities, retirement plans and IRAs, federal Forms 1099-A, 1099-C, and 1099-K
- — Analyzing and summarizing regulatory documents into various reports
- — Articulate findings through use of clear, concise, and grammatically correct business English (both written and verbal)
- — Reading and understanding tax regulations, assessing the impact and summarizing in a comprehensive, well-structured manner
- — Handling mid-complex to complex requests/queries from the onshore
- — Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to drive client communications
- — Establish strong professional relationships with onshore team members through weekly meetings and calls with onshore stakeholders
