Job Description/Skills Required
- Manage issues, escalations and exceptions within the Closing and Reporting team, liaising with other SSC operational teams, business and management as required
- Responsible for performing complex processes like preliminary TB analysis, checking closure of Sub-ledger and performing SL to GL reconciliations to identify and correct material errors
- Act as an SME in for closing and reporting activities for the BUs / entities
- Represent the team in SSCs RTR governance meetings and performance reviews
- Monitor and report KPIs and SLAs of the team in an accurate and timely manner, and manage resources effectively
- As part of the process quality stream, drive continuous improvement through re-engineering, lean/six sigma, best practices framework, benchmarking, analytics to assure progressive service levels and lower costs
- As part of the knowledge management stream, ensure that all new knowledge / improvements are documented and added to SOPs and / or the knowledge management database
- Assist with both internal and external audits to ensure complete, timely and accurate responses to information requests
- Ensure effective people management and development of the team, including: staffing & selection, integration of new staff to the teams, providing feedback and managing people issues, build a strong team culture
- Perform effective employee development, performance management through monitoring of team and individual KPIs, determination of teams development requirements
