Job Role or Description
- Prepare and review journal entries, including support, to record investment and fund transactions in the firm’s general ledger (e.g. interest, dividends, valuation adjustments, investment sales, FX, expenses, distributions, etc.)
- Month-end/quarter-end general ledger close activities such as reconciliation of ledger balances, review of equity pickup entries, AR/AP schedule review, etc.
- SDM requests and ledger account maintenance including closure requests
- Prepare/review regulatory reporting such as Basel, FR Y-11, FR 2314, and reports that feed JPM’s 10Q and 10K
- Prepare and shepherd dissolution documents for (and help to ensure closure of) approx. 200 legal entities for the HPE business, a key business priority for the Strategic Investments Management Team
- Work on the full spectrum of the dissolution process including obtaining internal and external approvals for each of the dissolutions, researching the entities, locating documentation, partnering with internal legal counsel and with state regulators, drafting internal approval documentation and drafting dissolution filing papers
- Provide quarterly accounting and dissolution status information to internal and external tax teams
- Assist with and own ad-hoc projects (investor requests, physical record administration, and ad-hoc management requests)
