Role Overview: OTC Collections Professional
In this role, you will be managing a portfolio of customer accounts and driving collections efforts to reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and minimize bad debt. You will also be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate collections while collaborating with internal teams such as billing, sales, and customer service to resolve any disputes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing customer accounts to ensure timely collections
- Analyzing aging reports and prioritizing collection efforts based on risk
- Coordinating with billing, sales, and customer service to resolve issues
- Negotiating payment plans with customers within defined limits
- Monitoring credit limits and flagging high-risk accounts for review
- Preparing weekly collection status reports and dashboards
- Conducting root cause analysis on recurring payment delays or disputes
- Leading process improvement initiatives to enhance recovery efficiency
- Mentoring junior analysts and supporting their development
Key Responsibilities:
- Escalation Handling: Manage high-value or complex accounts
- KPI Monitoring: Track DSO, recovery rates, and dispute volumes
- Performance Reviews: Conduct performance assessments for team members
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for efficiency and workflow automation
- Collaboration: Work with credit, legal, and sales teams for risk mitigation
- Internal Audits: Ensure documentation and account history meet audit standards
- Leadership: Present collection performance insights to leadership and drive improvements
Skills and Requirements:
- Experience: 1-4 years in OTC Collections, Accounts Receivable, or similar roles
- Education: Any Graduate
- Technical Skills: Strong Excel skills; knowledge of accounting software is a plus
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Problem Solving: Ability to handle escalated and complex collection issues
- Mentorship: Experience in supporting junior analysts and helping them grow
- Shift Timing: US Shift (Must be flexible to work in different shifts)
- Notice Period: Immediate joiners or those with 45 days notice period are preferred
