Job Description :
The person would be required to:
Preparation/ review the GST Returns.
Handling and assisting in GST assessments, audits, inspections, and other queries raised by the department from time to time.
Representing the company before the GST department and liaison with tax officers.
Preparation and filing of refund applications and following up with department to ensure timely receipt of same.
Acting as advisors to internal teams (Controllers, Business, Management) including advice on contract & billing structuring, M&A, due diligence, e-invoicing, input credit etc.
Work towards optimization of the Indirect tax costs in various Geographies.
Automation of compliance functions (including through use of Gen AI)
The person would be required:
to gain a complete understanding of GST and allied laws.
to have a good technical and workflow knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
· Peers in Controllers, F&A, MIS, AP, AR etc.
· Tax Lawyers, consultants and tax officer.
