About the Role
As an Assurance Manager – FAAS, you will work closely with Senior Managers and leadership teams supporting insurance clients across the Americas. The role focuses on preparing and reviewing statutory financial reporting in accordance with NAIC Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) and US GAAP, ensuring regulatory compliance while leading client engagements and mentoring high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Regulatory Compliance
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual statutory financial statements.
- Review Risk-Based Capital (RBC) filings, April Supplementals, and other NAIC reporting schedules.
- Compile supporting schedules, exhibits, disclosures, and regulatory footnotes.
- Ensure compliance with the NAIC Accounting Practices and Procedures Manual and state-specific regulatory requirements.
- Perform US GAAP to NAIC Statutory Accounting adjustments.
- Maintain accurate accounting records for regulatory reporting.
Insurance Accounting
- Manage accounting and reporting for insurance entities.
- Support reporting for Property & Casualty (P&C) and Life & Health (L&H) insurance businesses.
- Handle accounting concepts including:
- Reinsurance
- Separate Accounts
- General Accounts
- Asset Valuation Reserve (AVR)
- Interest Maintenance Reserve (IMR)
- Protected Accounts
Audit & Stakeholder Management
- Respond to regulatory comments and communicate with state insurance departments.
- Ensure compliance with KPIs, SLAs, and internal control procedures.
- Perform analytical reviews and variance analysis.
- Support audit readiness and regulatory examinations.
- Manage customer and stakeholder queries effectively.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify automation opportunities within accounting processes.
- Develop SOPs, process documentation, flowcharts, checklists, and training materials.
- Participate in system upgrades and testing initiatives.
- Drive standardization of accounting processes across multiple legal entities.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor teams of 6–10 professionals.
- Conduct performance reviews and career development discussions.
- Support hiring and onboarding activities.
- Assist Senior Managers in business development initiatives.
- Deliver technical training on US GAAP and NAIC accounting standards.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and NAIC Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP).
- Experience in insurance financial reporting.
- Knowledge of Risk-Based Capital (RBC) reporting.

Eligibility Criteria
- CA, ACCA (UK), CPA, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification.

- Hands-on experience with US GAAP and NAIC Statutory Accounting Principles.
- Experience in insurance accounting and regulatory reporting.
- Willingness to travel when required.
