Role & responsibilities

• To track monthly material price variance & its impact on overall operations Financials. Key Materials driving the variance
• Track prices of key Excipients, APIs & Starting materials driving these prices to Benchmark and Cost Comparison Analysis with Market
• Need to review Pos issued or under approval wrt Budget/forecasts and raise early alerts for any deviation.
• Track and Monitor AVD Opportunities for progress and its savings kick-in to project LRP View
• Actively drive Gross Margin Improvement Initiatives through identification of key cost drivers across Geographies. Work on the key cost drivers with procurement to arrive at possible cost reduction opportunities. Drive implementation of these opportunities through Cross-Functional Calls & Meetings
• Decisions on sourcing in terms of In-house vs External, Strategic Buys (Risk vs Opportunity Evaluation)
• Co-ordinate with different stakeholders like R&D, Packing, Packing Development & Planning to ensure implementation of Cost Saving Initiatives + Minimising Transit inventory destruction
• Alert businesses on increases or decreases in key Raw Material/Packing Material costs thereby giving them a heads up for necessary volume/pricing decisions
• Benchmark key cost drivers of clean sheet costs & shadow costs for top traded products to challenge status quo on costs, identify possible opportunity to negotiate
• Build Forecasts on material cost savings for quarter & year in material consumption to give a view on material cost impact on overall P&L
• Look for Opportunities to improve the Process Effectiveness and improvements
• Leading annual Budgeting & Forecasting of Procurement related KPIs from Finance
• Drive Monthly Business Review for Procurement Function from Finance
• Constantly improve on the Working capital , driving thru analytics and persuade Purchase team for improved payment terms
• Handle internal & statutory auditors related to Procurement/Material costs & GCs

Preferred candidate profile

• Understanding of material costs, benchmarks and its impact on product cost & hence business GCs
• Strong Collaborative Skills, Ability to steer difficult conversations with procurement head & Taking cross-functional stakeholders along
• Ability to summarise quickly from detail to grasp the big picture & get the crux of the issue
• Proficient in using Computer and related software in Performing financial Job specially SAP, MS Office (Excel & PPT)
• Ability to create visual dashboards , through discussions with IT Teams
• Ability to work independently without much supervision
• Should be able to work with people from diverse culture, countries, etc.
