Sub: Empanelment of Central Warehousing Corporation to impart training to Cost Accountant Intermediate Examination Pass Students.
Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Government of India, which was established under Agricultural Produce (Development & Warehousing) Corporations Act. 1956 later repealed & replaced by Warehousing Corporations Act, 1962. It is a Schedule “A” Mini Ratna Category-I PSU. It has a wide network of 460 warehouses with 108.60 Lakh metric tons storage capacity. Central Warehousing Corporation is an ISO 9001:2015 QMS. ISO 14001:2015 EMS, ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS), & ISO:37001-2016 ABMS certified organization.
Its main aim is to provide reliable, cost-effective, value-added, integrated warehousing and logistics solutions in a socially responsible and environment friendly manner.
Main functions of CWC are as detailed bellow:
a. To acquire, build and run warehouses in India and abroad for storage off agricultural inputs and produce and other notified commodities.
b. To provide facilities for Handling & Transportation of stocks to and from www houses.
c. To create infrastructure facilities for EXIM trade.
d. To act as agent of Government/Companies/Body Corporate for the purpose of purchase, sale, storage, distribution of stocks.
e. To provide Disinfestation and Pest Control services outside its warehouses.

Central Warehousing Corporation is desirous to impart for imparting Apprenticeship Training to the candidate sponsored by the Institute ie. Cost accountant intermediate pass students at Corporate Office of CWC as per the internship scheme of the Institute. CWC will provide Rs. 16,000, Rs. 18,000/- and Rs. 20,000-stipend to the trainees for the first, second and third year respectively
