Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and finalization of quarterly and annual regulatory reports.
- Prepare statutory financial statements and regulatory returns.
- Compile financial data and supporting schedules for Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) and Board presentations.
- Prepare and post statutory journal entries related to:
- Premium Accounting
- Foreign Exchange (FX)
- Treaty Accounting
- Loss Accounting
- Prepare GAAP to STAT reconciliations and explain statutory adjustments and financial fluctuations.
- Perform Financial Internal Control (FIC) activities, including:
- Intercompany Analysis
- Premium Receivable Aging
- Retained Earnings Analysis
- Equity Roll-forward
- Participate in finance transformation and regulatory reporting projects.
- Support AI and automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
