Job description
- Should be strong in Java, Java8, Unix, SQL and PL/SQL
- Strong in problem solving with troubleshooting and debugging
- Database: Stored Procedure and Query Optimization knowledge
- Effective verbal & written communication skills
- Should be good in ITIL process like Knowledge Management, Incident Management and Ticket Management
- Strong understanding of Linux operating systems
- Hands on experience using Unix commands, writing shell scripts, building small tools (non-negotiable this will be assessed in the interview)
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, out of the box thinker, ability to connect dots when presented with disjoint data set (non-negotiable – this will be assessed in the interview)
- Experience with working on open-source tools and libraries.
- Ability to multitask or switch context on short notice
- Identify, investigate, prioritize and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Working experience on scheduling tools such as Autosys, Control-M etc.
- Detail oriented with project tracking and documentation, ability to write test cases and migration plan
- Basic SQL knowledge and ability to write simple SQL queries
- Understanding of existing Java infrastructure, ability to identify bottlenecks and suggest changes etc.
