Role Overview:
The primary responsibility of this role is to work with the Product Owner to understand business requirements and work closely with the Scrum Team to ensure the requirements are clearly understood. This individual should have experience with requirements management, software development methodology and should have worked extensively with business users, programmers, and Quality Assurance. Associate must be self-motivated with strong analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work with Product Owner to understand high-level requirements and capture business needs.
- Develop user stories and acceptance criteria in collaboration with Product Owner
- Clearly articulate and document business requirements.
- Work with the Scrum Team to build out the detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
- Ensure user stories have enough clarity from the “what” point of view.
- Ensure enough prioritized backlog is available for the team before the sprint starts.
- Participates in design reviews and walk-throughs to communicate systems designs and validate proposed solutions.
- Obtain key inputs from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Enterprise Architecture teams and identifies solution interdependencies.
- Engage with UX team to incorporate usability and user interface needs when designing systems
- Give presentations/demonstrations of new product functionality to stakeholders and clients.
- Coach Junior Application Analysts.
Profile: The candidate should have following:-
Essential
Domain Knowledge
- Sound knowledge of U. S. Retirement Industry and/or Mutual Fund Industry.
- Good knowledge of financial terms.
Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in software development
- 8+ years of experience as an application analyst
- Experience in accurately gathering, translating, and documenting user requirements/designs to serve as functional specifications from which technical solutions can be developed.
- Experience in creating business requirements, use cases, workflows and documentation.
- Strong analytical skills, interpersonal skills, able to manage multiple priorities and have ability to learn new concepts quickly.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with internal technical teams as well as external clients.
- Experience in developing prototypes
- Experience with SQL
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Prior work experience with Agile project methodology and knowledge of developing user stories
Desired
- Experience with Mainframe or Java technologies
- Understanding of XML, MS SQL, HTML
- ADA compliance experience
- Experience with data mapping and workflow diagrams
