Job Description/Skills Required
What this job involves :
1. Oversee and manage a staff of 80-100 people
2. Analyse and review financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital; work with lenders to procure construction funding, review construction draws, and maintain the development general ledger.
3. Prepare timely monthly and quarterly reports for the Client properties, which summarize and forecast building activity and financial performance in areas of revenues and expenses based on past, present, and expected operations. Strictly adhere to the reporting format outlined by the Client.
4. Provide accounting support and tracking for construction, tenant improvements, and other capital items.
5. Respond to owner requests for financial information.
6. Research accounting literature and the impact of recently implemented accounting pronouncements, as needed. Assist with the implementation of requirements of The Sarbanes-Oxley Act, as needed.
7. Coordinate with external auditors to provide applicable information for annual audits and quarterly reviews.
8. Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard the financial assets of the organization
9. Design, implement, document, and maintain policies and procedures that support efficient and effective processes as well as maintain strong internal controls.
10. Provide proactive decision-making support to all stakeholders

1. Strong knowledge of commercial development accounting, including construction requisitions, lien waver analysis, percentage of completion and general ledger maintenance.
2. Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure with multiple and changing
3. Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of business or technical support or production team
4. Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion, coordinates work activities with other supervisors
5. Exceptional oral and written communication skills with external clients as well as professionals within the department.
Supervisory experience (centered around reviewing financial statements, training, etc.)
6. Detailed oriented and strong organizational skills
7. Ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines
8. Demonstrated technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and PeopleSoft
9. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
