In this Role, You Will Be Responsible For:
- Cash Application Activities: Accurately apply incoming payments to customer accounts on a daily basis.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies between received cash and posted amounts.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments to address payment-related queries.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all cash application activities.
- Software Utilization: Utilize accounting software, preferably SAP, for processing cash transactions.
- Process Familiarity: Handle tasks related to the Lock Box process efficiently.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on cash application activities and outstanding payments.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency within the cash application workflow.
Requirements for this Role Include:
- Education: A B.Com Graduate with a strong academic background in accounting principles.
- Experience: Proven hands-on experience in cash applications within a financial or accounting environment.
- Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of accounting concepts and principles.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in using accounting software, preferably SAP.
- Lock Box Familiarity: Familiarity with the Lock Box process is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented and accurate in numerical data entry.
- Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills for resolving discrepancies.
- Communication: Effective communication skills for internal collaboration and addressing inquiries.
- Adaptability: Ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Shift Flexibility: Flexibility to work Night Shifts
