Summary
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for maintaining financial records/transactions and assisting with both clerical and administrative tasks within the Company.
Essential Functions
- Verify purchase orders confirming prices/quantity prior to issuing invoices.
- Verify and record customer payments related to accounts receivable.
- Create reports regarding current revenues for the month.
- Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with Project Managers.
- Assist accounts payable with paying invoices, printing checks, and reconciling bank statements and credit cards.
Required & Preferred Education/Experience/Skills
- Proficient and knowledgeable in all areas of receivables and payables.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks.
- Maintain an above-average level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Possess interpersonal, bookkeeping, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to maintain organizational confidentiality.
- College degree or some relevant education preferred.
- One year of working experience with accounts receivables and payables
