Job Description/Skills Required
Advisory and Compliance in respect of Direct / Indirect Taxation for all power group companies
Roles and Responsibilities
- Advisory Advices to various stakeholders on GST, Custom and other direct / Indirect Taxation related matters like assessment, chargeability, rate, exemption, procedures etc.
- Litigation – Preparation of replies/appeals, review of various submissions, discussion with consultants and appearance before authorities.
- Governance and Compliance Management Ensuring timely compliance and accounting, preparation of SOPs, advise on system and process improvement.
- Training and supervision – Conducting regular training session for updating and awareness of compliance and procedures under Direct / Indirect Tax, Guidance to team on various day to day activities etc.
- Coordination with statutory auditor and Departmental auditors
- Participate in hearing and assessments in remote parts and legal negotiations.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Good Knowledge of Direct / Indirect Tax laws, rules and regulations
- Past exposure of leading Tax function.
- Knowledge on old service tax and VAT laws as old cases are there.
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong with Numbers / Data Analytics.
- Good Inter-personal skills and leadership skills
