📝 Job Description:
HCLTech is inviting experienced mortgage professionals to join their Australian Mortgage Underwriting team in Chennai. This is your opportunity to work with one of the world’s leading tech companies in a dynamic and process-driven environment.
✅ Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing customer creditworthiness and financial health
- Auditing loan applications for compliance and risk
- Verifying employment history, income documents, and repayment capacity
- Reviewing LVR (Loan-to-Value Ratio), property valuation
- Identifying discrepancies, detecting fraud, and ensuring due diligence
- Decision-making: Approvals or Declinations based on policy
- Communicating with brokers/lenders and other stakeholders
💼 Core Skills Required:
- Mortgage underwriting, pre/post-close underwriting
- Strong knowledge of Australian mortgage regulations, APRA & ASIC compliance
- Responsible lending obligations
- Analytical skills, financial assessment, risk evaluation
- Experience with KYC processes, credit scoring, fraud detection
- Excellent communication & stakeholder management
🎓 Qualification & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any discipline
- Experience: 2+ years in Australian/US/UK Mortgage domain
- Added Advantage: Exposure to onshore client communication
