Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with building data infrastructure (e.g., designing architecture, building data pipelines, implementing scalable monitoring) and implementing reporting solutions.
- Experience developing strategies in fast-paced environments and managing resource allocation decisions to achieve desired business outcomes.
- Ability to work with data to produce analysis, influencing decision-making with numerical analysis and generating insights.
- Ability to take ownership, interact with all levels, set objectives, drive results, and be a team player.

About the Job: As a Financial Analyst at Google, you will ensure that the company makes sound financial decisions. Your work, whether it’s modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, will be used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. You will work on multiple projects simultaneously, focusing on the details while finding creative ways to tackle big-picture challenges.
You will lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking, and control processes and provide senior-level management with insightful recommendations, planning, and reporting support.
Responsibilities:
- Perform analysis of datasets to extract information, identify trends, and generate insights for the business.
- Manage projects involving multiple stakeholders, timelines, organizational implications, and changing circumstances.
- Own and enhance recurring Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) processes including month-end close, forecasting, financial planning, reporting, business reviews, and planning initiatives.
- Support Long Range Plan (LRP) and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) processes for efficiency and Product Profit and Loss work streams based on analytics and simulations.
- Partner with members of cross-functional teams: IaaS Product Finance, PaaS Product Finance, Capacity Planning, Product Engineering, Technical Infrastructure Software Engineering, and Cloud Strategy Operations.
- Develop and present business insights to Finance and Business leaders on key infrastructure efficiency metrics across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) product leaders and other Google Product Areas (PAs).
