Job Description/Skills Required
- Manages team responsible for accounting within a functional area
- Reviews and approves journal entries, accounting analysis and reporting conducted by team members
- Reviews and approves balance sheet reconciliations performed by team members
- Directs team to achieve assignments using established guidelines, procedures and policies for accounting
- Directs team on compliance to internal controls
- Assists team members in the determination of the appropriate process, policies and/or procedures to be used
- Responds to escalated internal customer account inquiries and issues
- Builds relationships with internal business partners on issue resolution, and resolves issues involving cross- functional teams
- Has an in-depth knowledge of transactional systems impacting the area of work
