Job Description/Skills Required
In this role, you’ll undertake fundamental credit analysis of convertible bond issuers across geographies and work with Front Office desks to objectively define the credit risk for those companies. You’ll be preparing business summaries, historical financial and operating highlights, summarizing impactful developments, and opining on their credit impact. Additionally, you’ll analyze corporate credit quality with the objective of arriving at an estimated rating for unrated companies across geographies and preparing notes, concisely summarize industry/company/financials specific nuances. You’ll be required to aid front office in reading and evaluating key terms in credit documentations such as collateral packages, guarantee structures, springing maturities etc. Additionally, you’d be expected to monitor existing positions by the way of evaluating M&A, earnings etc. and their impact on credit quality. Other ad hoc projects could include short capitalization tables, seniority analysis, relative value tables etc.
Who We’re Looking For
- The candidate should have a master’s in finance or a CFA with three to five years of relevant experience along with excellent fundamental corporate credit analysis skills, preferably in the HY space.
- Candidates with exposure to credit rating frameworks will be preferred.
- The ideal candidate should have good written and verbal communication skills.
