Job Description/Skills Required
Role & responsibilities
Drive accounting and reconciliation of all transactions for Finance pertaining to a Region, specifically with respect to Banking, Payable, Coinsurance Transactions, Tax etc.
Co-ordinate with Regional Head and resolve all the finance related matters at regional level including P&L related queries in consultation with HO finance team.
Preferred candidate profile
– Prepare and resolve open Bank Reconciliation items in coordination with Operations, Sales and HO finance team
Publish region wise daily Bank MIS in prescribed format
– Reconcile coinsurance premium and share the premium reconciliation with Underwriting team/ Sales team/ Operations team to ensure that premium is booked.
– Create the log of co-insurance claims and claims reconciliation. Share with Claims team to ensure that the claim is booked.
– Prepare the co-insurance summary (receivable & payable) and share with coinsurer for timely recovery and payments.
– Reconcile ETASS with co-insurance schedule/ booking and capture the ETASS reference in the co-insurance schedule.
– Drive coordination with auditors (internal, statutory, CAG, IRDA and IFC) to ensure timely closure of audit with minimal audit qualifications. Submit required documentation, respond to and drive timely closure of all queries raised by auditors.
– Identify and implement process improvements in consultation with HO finance for Bank Recon / ETASS reconciliations to minimize the number of open transactions.
– Regional P&L Management co-ordination
– Identify and drive new cost saving initiatives to enable adequate control on operating expenses of the company.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduate/ Post-graduate in Commerce/ Accounts
5 to 7 years of experience in the BFSI sector, handling Banking and accounting activities
Prior experience in the BFSI
