Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is inviting eligible candidates to apply online for Civil Services (Preliminary) (IAS) Exam 2024. Interested and qualified candidates may submit an online application by 05-03-2024 after confirming that they meet the necessary eligibility standards. Mode of Recruitment :
The Civil Services Examination will comprise two successive stages:
(i) Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for the Main Examination; and (ii) Civil Services (Main) Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the various Services and posts.
The Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination will consist of two papers of Objective type (multiple-choice questions) and carry a maximum of 400 marks. The Civil Services (Main) Examination will consist of a Written Examination and an Interview/Personality Test. The Written Examination will comprise 9 papers of conventional essay type in the subjects outlined in sub-section (B) of Section-II, of which two papers will be of a qualifying nature.
Fee Structure :
The application fee is waived for SC/ST/Female & PwBD candidates, and it is Rs 100/- for other candidates. The fee is to be paid online using debit card, credit card, or net banking.
How to Apply :
Online applications can be made through the provided facility on or before 05-03-2024. Review the instructions thoroughly before completing the application. The candidate should fill out the online application with all of their personal and educational information in the appropriate places, according to their certificates. Applicants are required to upload a scanned photo and signature on the online application. A print of the online application should be retained for future use.
