Finance Ministry asked Infosys to provide within 15 days a plan to remove the glitches arising on GSTN portal every now and then. The “tardy” progress over the last two years in respect of numerous issues faced by taxpayers has led the ministry for such an action.
On Saturday, Revenue Secretary held a meeting with top Infosys officials on the constant glitches seen on GST network.
Infosys Chairman Nandan Nilekani has also been asked to make a presentation before the GST Council on March 14.
“It is requested to go through the pending issues, day-to-day disruptions and the future road map and come up with a plan for quick resolution within 15 days. Infosys has set high international standards and it is expected that the efficiency which your organisation is known for should be visible in GST project also,” the ministry said in the letter to Infosys.
Such glitches have always made taxpayers frustrated and result in unhealthy tax compliance. For better compliance, such measures are highly essential.
