a) The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI ) has waived off the Condonation Fee for CA Students.
b) Due to the ongoing period of lockdown amid COVID-19, the ICAI said that, students are facing problems in online filing of various application forms related to practical training within prescribed time and such delay is causing levy of condonation fee upon them.
c) ICAI has always taken measures to help the students facing any kind of hardship. ICAI has also extended its half-yearly examinations from May 2020 to June 2020 due to the COVID-19. Students also finding it difficult to focus on the exams because of this critical situation, so with the relaxation, the students can get some more time to prepare for the exams and use this opportunity to the fullest.
d) For the safety of its staff and students too, it has taken various steps to facilitate the work through online mode or video conferencing so that the flow of work shall remain intact.
e) Considering hardship faced by the students, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has been decided to waive off condonation fee on delay filing of all articled/industrial training related application forms till 30th June 2020 if transaction date in such application forms falls between 1st March 2020 to 30th May 2020.
f) This period includes a one-month prescribed time limit given in general.
