Air India, the airline, has almost completely run out of funds. This is the reason because of which they are not able to pay it’s December salary and GST dues. One of the Air India Airbus has been grounded in Vadodara for almost a week, as its requires engine replacement. The Maharaja has a spare engine for this aircraft in Delhi. Since GST dues of about ₹ 100 crores is pending, e-way bill for the transportation of spare engine won’t be generated.
Now, raised the cash through ticket sales. Thus, They hopes to pay the GST dues soon along with the salaries.
In the past few days, the government has been trying to assure passengers that Air India will keep flying till it is sold off. MOCA (ministry of civil aviation) reiterates that the government, while going ahead with the disinvestment, would ensure that Air India continues to operate uninterruptedly and improves its operations also. There is no cause for worry to any of its stakeholders.
After this assurance, there seems to be increment in booking.
